If you or your child are interested in joining a band or orchestra but don't have an instrument, our friendly staff will help you pick out the right instrument. With our affordable prices, you'll be able to give yourself or your child the gift of music without breaking the bank. These instruments are of excellent quality, so you won't have to worry about breaking them down quickly.

The MCH repair department was founded with three concepts in mind: quick turnaround, superior work, and fair pricing. In the years that we have been in business, we feel that we have kept to this maxim while improving our tooling and skills. Our string technicians have been trained by some of the best technicians and restorers worldwide, including Hans Nebel, Boyd Poulsen. We have sought out master repair technicians, luthiers, and instrument makers in the United States and abroad who can aid us in improving our technique and introduce us to the most current equipment. In recent years, we have enlisted the aid and advice of Flute Technician and Maker David Straubinger, Saxophone Technician and Maker Rheuben Allen, and violin maker Marco Imer Piccinotti.

All of our repairs are done in-house by our expert technicians. Appointments are not required. However, making one will assure you that a technician will be available to speak with you about your instrument when you drop by. There is no charge for diagnostics, so feel free to bring your instrument down for an estimate on time and price.

The Music Center of Hawaii's repair department was blessed to have been named as the best place to get your musical instrument repaired in Honolulu Magazine's Best Of Honolulu 2009.

If you are not looking to invest in an instrument or just need one for a short period, consider renting from us. This can turn out to be an economical way of getting your hands on an instrument without committing to owning it. 

All renters must be O'ahu residents and have a valid Hawaii State I.D. or driver's license and a credit/debit card from which the deposit will be taken.  Risk of loss only available to long-term renters. Two methods of billing can be arranged: 1) E-Statement invoice emailed to you via Square or 2) automatic billing from a credit/debit card which will be processed via Square. There is a minimum of a one-month lease which ends when you bring the instrument back. The billing cycle is from the first of the month, not the day the rent began. However, the rent is prorated. Therefore, it does not matter when you begin or end your lease. When you are ready to return your instrument rental, please do the following: 1) Clean the instrument (as much as possible) such that it is free of dirt, grease and fingerprints. 2) Please clean the interior of the case, making sure any dirt, dust or hair has been removed.
